This ensures that the planned activities actually reduce emissions. Project owners sometimes invest a lot in future measures even before funding is received. These mechanisms make it possible to develop successful projects. However, they require a long-term planning horizon for those involved at home and abroad.

Newsletter | In 2023, the KliK Foundation was able to significantly expand its engagement under Article 6.2 of the Paris Agreement. Many interested stakeholders have submitted ideas for greenhouse gas mitigation activities, which are now being developed and refined. At the same time, with the two new climate agreements (Switzerland/Tunisia and Switzerland/Chile), the Foundation is now able to support climate protection in 13 countries.
